Mesh-free simulations of injection molding processes

In this paper, we introduce a mesh-free numerical framework using the finite pointset method for modeling and simulation of injection molding processes. When compared to well-established mesh-based methods, which have been widely applied these applications, our approach avoids need extensive preprocessing enables accurate treatment free surfaces other associated phenomena. To accurately model polymer injections, consider detailed material model, with temperature dependent viscosity density, while also considering shear thinning behavior strain rate viscosity. Our investigations show that molding-specific problems such as viscous flows fountain flow effect can be successfully implemented presented framework. For thorough validation proposed compare simulated experiments, are performed in work.
